& I visited Stephanie & Richard in Adelaide for a long weekend.

My
mother visits me for the second time in Australia! We do a lot together
and time is flying!
22.10. - In Roma Street Park.

28.10. - On the way to the markets in New
Farm. The violet
trees are called Jacarandas.

29.10. - On Sunday morning, we went to the
beach in Caboolture (appro. one hour drive north). Mum collected
shells.

25.11. - We spent 2 days on Fraser island, the
largest sand island in the world. There is rain forest, lots of
freshwater creeks & lakes and of course the ocean!

26.11. - We went through the desert to get
to lake Wabby where we refreshed us with a swim.

sand is really white. Wonderful! We also went for a swim here.

Steve
and I
spent a long weekend in Stanthorpe. Stanthorpe is 221
km southwest of Brisbane and is the coldest region in Queensland and also its only wine region.
The popular Girraween national park that is close by is
known for its granite rocks.

again living by myself in a rental house! It is so close to the city that I
can walk to work every day in 20 minutes.

Worldcup - 26.06.2006 |
This
are pictures of the match involving Australia vs. Italy. The match started -
according to the Australian time zone - on Wednesday at 1am. Nevertheless, all
the cafes & streets were crowded with people!! I was there with my work colleagues.
It was still quiet at 9pm...

& Richard were invited to a wedding at the Gold coast and had a stop-over in Brisbane.

was time for another hike: Steve and I went to the national park
at O'Reillys where we saw lots of animals and rain forest.

Beerwah - 25.03.2006 |
I
climbed Mount Beerwah (556m) with colleagues from work . The mountain
is part of the Glass House mountains that are one hour drive north of
Brisbane. To avoid the heat we started out early at 6am in the morning...

Visit
from Katja & Thomas! At their second Australia tour,
Melbourne, Adelaide and the East coast were on their program. We spend a
wonderful time together (that went far too quick) on Fraser Island, at the
Sunshine coast and in Brisbane.
