So far I have spent most of my life in my birth city Essen, Germany, where I did my high school certificate (Abitur) at the school Luisenschule. After school I studied Mathematics and Computer Science at the University of Essen.  I spent two of those semesters at the Université of Nantes in France. After having finished my studies I travelled around Australia for nine months and couldn't get the fascination of this country out of my head. But first I stayed in Hannover, the city of the world expo 2000, for 2.5 years. Not only did I gain work experience with NCR (which I definitively didn't want to miss!), but also found many new friends. Since September 2002 I have been living in Brisbane and am adapting myself to the Australian way of life: No worries, mate!

I like to spent my free time with:

bullet

Volleyball (best of all is mixed pairs beach!): Australia is the perfect country for beach volleyball! - Sorry, but the gravel pit from HCH Hannover doesn't really cut it!

bullet

Scuba diving: Well you have to do this in Oz! I joined the uni dive club and have already done some dive trips (see photo album).

bullet

Music: more or less everything from Powderfinger to Air to The Toten Hosen.

bullet

Reading: Everything I can get my hands on.  I especially love the book series about Kay Scarpetta from Patricia Cornwell. Or the books from Paulo Coelho.
